Bus Driver

Transports program children and families to center activities and back in Ashland, Oregon, following safety standards and state/organizational requirements. Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of the school bus, pre-trip inspections, proper loading/unloading of children, keeping rosters and logs, maintaining cleanliness and sanitization, ensuring seat belts and car seats are used, and supporting evacuation drills. Maintains communication with children, parents, and county staff; collaborates with Bus Assistant to apply agency guidance and behavioral philosophies, and provides First Aid/CPR as needed while safeguarding confidentiality and reporting maintenance concerns. Participates in required trainings and contributes to a positive, safe transport experience aligned with Head Start goals.
