Job Summary
Drive an assigned, regular school bus route Monday through Friday for 5.75 hours per day across 187 work days. Maintain vehicle safety and welfare by taking care of your bus or van, ensuring all passengers are transported securely. Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, staff, parents, and community members while holding a valid commercial driver's license. Maintain an excellent driving record and obtain full support from the Coordinator of Transportation Services and Assistant Superintendent.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess or be physically qualified and capable of passing certain training requirements in order to secure a valid commercial driver license to drive a school bus
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, staff, parents and community members
- Must be able to take care of own bus/van to insure safety and welfare of passengers being transported
- Must have full support of the Coordinator of Transportation Services and Assistant Superintendent
Desired Qualifications
- Preference given to candidates who can demonstrate an excellent driving record
