Transports students to and from school on schedule; performs daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections per Bulletins 119 and 1475; submits reports as required; adheres to traffic laws and district policies; maintains communication with parents, students, principals, and staff; ensures student safety and operates under supervision with a focus on reliability, professionalism, and proper appearance; duties include attending meetings, following procedures, and supporting district initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalence
- Meet requirements in Bulletin 119 and 1475 of the State of Louisiana Transportation Handbook
- Must possess a Class B Commercial Driver's License with P and S endorsement
- Must be certified to serve as a school bus operator
- Must have proven driving ability and experience
- Must be able to transport students during the school day
