Job Summary
Bus Driver for the Asheboro City Schools Transportation Department responsible for operating a school bus on assigned routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adhering to traffic laws and school bus regulations, maintaining discipline of students, completing required reports, and securing the bus at the end of a run. Requires reporting to the Transportation Supervisor, ensuring safety and orderly transport of students, and maintaining bus cleanliness and safety standards. Includes knowledge of school bus procedures, safety regulations, and the ability to communicate effectively with parents/guardians and school personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school
- valid North Carolina Commercial Driver’s License with school bus certification
- experience driving large vehicles preferred
