Job Summary
Bus Driver responsible for pre- and post-trip inspections, DVIR reporting, and custody safety during inmate transfers. Reads and applies inmate records related to health, safety, and security; reports defects to Transportation Supervisor; adheres to traffic laws, uses seat belts, and maintains sanitation/logs for transport vehicles. Tasks include facilitating transfer of offenders/detainees between agencies, maintaining accountability of staff, inmates, property, and compliance with Federal, State, FMCSA and DOT regulations. Requires CDL with passenger endorsement, DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse enrollment, three years of MVR, and age 23+, with strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- CDL w/ passenger endorsement required
- Valid driver’s license with a clear MVR for three (3) years
- Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse - DOT (required)
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Education and Experience: CDL and regulatory compliance experience as required by contractual agreements
- Comply with Federal, State, FMCSA Regulations and DOT Regulations
