Bus Driver

Job Summary
Transport children to and from school in the mornings and afternoons. Verify permissions for children who ride home with friends. Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times. Obey all traffic laws. Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route. Ensure the safety of all students and mask requirements. Discipline children when required to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required. Attend monthly safety meetings. Must possess a valid Michigan CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, a high school diploma or GED, and pass a background check.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid Michigan CDL Driver's License with a passenger (P) and a school bus (S) endorsements
- Ability to complete all required forms, including trip sheets, pre/post bus inspection sheets, and vehicle inspection reports clearly and in a legible manner
- Pass background check
- Strong communication skills
- Valid CDL
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with children
- Mechanical knowledge
- Customer service skills
- Proficiency in English
- Driving
