Job Summary
Bus Driver for Saint Cecilia Catholic School on Bainbridge Island responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school and school-sponsored activities. Daily routes before and after school with approximately 17 hours per week, plus additional hours for field trips and special events. Duties include pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining a safe and orderly bus environment, communicating with staff and families, enforcing school behavior expectations, organizing evacuation drills, and coordinating transportation for field trips. Requires a Valid CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, current medical certification, and a clean driving record; experience with children is preferred and flexibility for scheduling is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements
- Current medical certification as required for CDL drivers
- Clean driving record
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to manage student behavior in a calm and respectful manner
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to conduct basic inspections of the vehicle
- Ability to assist students as needed entering and exiting the bus
