Job Summary
Transit Bus Operator for Grace Federal Solutions in Durham, NC. Operate buses safely per DOT/regulations, follow routes, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintain logs/manifests, communicate with dispatch, assist passengers, and attend safety trainings. Requires NC Class B CDL with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements, DOT medical card, strong safety/communication skills, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Part-time with day shift and weekends; available nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating public transit buses or heavy vehicles
- Valid North Carolina Class B CDL with: Passenger endorsement
- Air brake endorsement
- Valid DOT medical card
- Strong understanding of safe vehicle operation and traffic laws
- Professional communication skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
