Job Summary
Drive assigned bus routes to and from school and extra or co-curricular events, including pre- and post-trip cleaning and fueling. Secure building areas, windows, and doors while maintaining life safety items and cleaning assigned zones through vacuuming, mopping, and general upkeep. Report any problems to the Head Custodian promptly and cover building assignments during events outside school hours. Perform duties in accordance with Maine DOT rules, emergency evacuation plans, and hazardous materials protocols. Work unsupervised with minimal instruction, utilizing knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a Class B motor vehicle license with a school bus endorsement.
- Must have Maine CHRC fingerprinting and Background check.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in custodial cleaning and bus driving preferred.
