Job Summary
Bus Driver operates small buses (<16 passengers) following established routes and schedules, ensuring safety, confidence, and comfort of passengers; maintains vehicle appearance; communicates changes in itineraries; records transportation data; assists passengers with disabilities; adheres to local, state, and federal laws; completes required driver training and holds a valid NH driver’s license and NHDOT medical card; may require travel within the community; part-time schedule (Monday-Friday, 5 hours/day); salary commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency credential
- At least 1 year of bus driving experience, including transporting passengers
- Complete driver training courses within required timeframe and have obtained a Certificate of Completion (Defensive Driving, Passenger Assistance and Emergency Evacuation)
- Valid driver’s license and Valid NHDOT medical card
- Must pass Agency Drug & Alcohol pre-employment testing and participate in random drug & alcohol testing
- Criminal record and driver record checks
- Access to reliable transportation for travel within the community
