Job Summary
Operate small buses carrying fewer than 16 passengers while adhering to all local, state, and federal safety regulations. Follow established routes and schedules, accurately communicate itinerary changes, and record required transportation data. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and performance, assisting passengers with disabilities and ensuring a safe, comfortable experience. Complete defensive driving, passenger assistance, and emergency evacuation training courses. Hold a valid driver's license and NHDOT medical card, passing drug and alcohol testing and background checks. Work part-time, Monday through Friday, for 5.5 hours daily at a rate of $19.29 to $21.08 per hour in Concord, NH.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency credential
- At least 1 year of bus driving experience, including transporting passengers
- Complete driver training courses within required timeframe and have obtained a Certificate of Completion
- Certificate of Completion for Defensive Driving
- Certificate of Completion for Passenger Assistance
- Certificate of Completion for Emergency Evacuation
- Ability to be polite and courteous at all times in dealing with passengers and negotiating traffic
- Valid driver's license
- Valid NHDOT medical card
- Pass Agency Drug & Alcohol pre-employment testing
- Participate in random drug and alcohol testing as established by Agency Drug & Alcohol policies for safety sensitive employees
- Successfully complete criminal record and driver record checks
- Access to reliable transportation
