Job Summary
Transport residents to events and activities using the facility vehicle; assist residents with care requirements (walkers/wheelchairs) when entering and exiting the vehicle; maintain harmonious relationships with residents, families and staff; participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives; uphold the organization's ethics and integrity; complete other duties as assigned; required to have CPR/First Aid, valid driver’s license with clean record (Ontario Class F; MB/AB/BC Class 4 per location), Vulnerable Sector Check; strong English communication and interpersonal skills; experience with seniors is an asset; teamwork and reliability emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and applicable driver's license with a clean driving record; ON - Class F; MB AB BC - Class 4
- CPR and First Aid certification (current)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy and patience
- Experience working with seniors is considered an asset
