Job Summary
Operate a school bus over designated routes and schedules to transport District students to and from school, field trips and events; assist loading/unloading of handicapped students; perform daily vehicle inspections and minor maintenance; maintain order among students; report incidents; conduct emergency evacuation drills; transport physically and mentally handicapped students and assist with wheelchairs; use two-way radio for communications; maintain records of maintenance, miles driven and students transported; adhere to safety policies, laws, and regulations; participate in safety meetings and related duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Kentucky Commercial Class B driver’s license, including passenger endorsement; School Bus Certificate; must pass driving record check.
