Job Summary
Operate District vehicles of various sizes for the purpose of safely transporting students or supporting District programs. Follow procedures to ensure that vehicles are safe to drive. Requires a Class B CDL and Oregon School Bus Driver’s Certificate (or ability to obtain within 60 days), proficiency in English and computer use, and successful pre-employment drug test. Work schedule is Monday-Friday with a 7-hour shift; benefits include health insurance options, PTO, retirement plans, and on-site training. Pays an hourly rate in the part-time range of $28.07-$35.91 per hour, annualized to 58,386–74,693 (based on 2080 hours).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
- Hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a valid Oregon School Bus Driver’s Certificate or be able to obtain both within 60 days
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
