Job Summary
Conduct daily school bus operations, ensuring safe and efficient transportation for students while obeying Ohio traffic laws and regulations. Perform pre-trip inspections, fuel the bus, maintain cleanliness, and manage rider conduct as the sole operator. Deliver vehicles for servicing and repairs as directed. Report serious discipline problems to the transportation supervisor and attend required driver meetings. Serve as a role model for students and staff, instilling ethical principles and democratic values. Adhere to all rules set forth by the transportation office and the Cloverleaf Board of Education.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hold a current Ohio Class B CDL license with School Bus and Passenger endorsement
- Be insurable with not more than four points on the Ohio driver's license
- Complete and pass a T-8 physical yearly
- High moral character and good attendance record
- Demonstrate aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned
