Job Summary
Operate large buses on assigned routes in Tokyo, adhering to schedules, traffic regulations, and safety standards while ensuring passenger comfort. Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report faults, and assist with cleaning and maintenance as required. Complete mandatory theoretical and practical driving training to obtain the Japanese Large Vehicle Class 2 Driving Licence, covering Japanese driving procedures and rules. Work rotational shifts including early morning and late hours, maintaining professional communication with passengers and supervisors. This role offers a long-term career path in Japan's passenger transportation industry, progressing to express and chartered bus operations based on experience and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of valid passenger car driving licence at the time of interview
- JLPT N3
- Only JLPT certification will be accepted
- Must successfully pass the SSW Driver Test
- Must be willing to obtain the Japanese Large Vehicle Class 2 Driving Licence
- Must be willing to undergo required driving training and licence conversion procedures in Japan
- Must successfully pass the mandatory medical examination as per employer requirements
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn Japanese driving procedures
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including early morning and late shifts
- Must be physically and mentally fit to perform bus driving duties
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving licence history preferred
- Previous professional Bus Driver / Heavy Vehicle Driver experience will be an advantage
