Job Summary
Operate punch press or break press CNC machines to fabricate copper bus components and similar conductive materials, following blueprints and part lists to meet quality requirements. Load materials, select tooling, align and secure parts, monitor machine operation, and coordinate with other operators. Verify finished parts with calipers/protractors, maintain a clean, safe work area, and participate in on-the-job training with the Bus CNC Foremen. Requires 0-1 year of sheet metal fabrication or CNC experience, ability to read blueprints, and strong mathematical and mechanical skills. Scheduled Monday–Friday 2:30pm–12am with occasional Saturdays; High School Diploma/GED required; forklift certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 year of sheet metal fabrication or CNC operator
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Excellent mechanical skills and aptitude with CNC sheet metal equipment
- Strong math skills and basic computer skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Attendance & Punctuality: 97%

- Continuous Improvement: contribute at least one improvement idea per quarter
- Safety Compliance: PPE and safety protocol adherence
