Job Summary
Bus Assistant assists the Bus Driver in transporting children safely on the school bus, supervises children, helps load/unload, ensures correct children enter/exit and are released to authorized persons, ensures seating and proper restraints, maintains vehicle safety and cleanliness, participates in transportation safety education, completes paperwork, and communicates with staff and parents. No prior education or experience is required. The role supports positive behavioral approaches, assists with medication procedures as needed, and fosters a cooperative, educational bus ride for children in Oregon.
