Job Summary
Assembles copper bus and conductive material into electrical enclosures per drawing packages and engineering instructions. Reads schematics to build customized equipment, using tools such as tape measures, drills, hand power tools, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and saw horses. Maintains a safe, clean work area and adheres to safety standards while completing required paperwork (Engineering Corrective Reports, Non-conformance Reports, Corrective Action Reports, Material Transfer Requests). Demonstrates entry-level proficiency in production tasks involving large line-ups and complex sections, collaborating with senior team members to meet deadlines and achieve quality targets.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 0-1 year of work experience assembling copper bus or similar materials in a manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of reading schematics or documents
- Ability to use tape measures, drills, hand power tools, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and saw horses
- Active listening and verbal/written communication skills
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Teamwork and safety compliance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- FLSA non-exempt; hourly compensation structure described
