Job Summary
As a Bus Aide, assist with daily pickup and delivery of children on bus routes, ensure safe boarding/exiting, maintain clean bus interior, support children with disabilities during transportation, provide developmentally appropriate transportation experiences, build positive relationships with children and families, and participate in required training and professional development; part-time schedule with flexible hours and school calendar breaks; training opportunities include Intro to Childcare and Pediatric CPR within 6 months, with entry-level growth into the early childhood field.
Required Qualifications
- Age: Minimum 18 years old
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Training: Complete Intro to Childcare within 6 months of hire; Pediatric CPR within 6 months
- Physical Requirements: Dexterity, coordination, mobility, visual acuity to lift and/or restrain children of varying sizes
- Professional Competencies: Cultural sensitivity, ability to address needs of children with disabilities
- Experience: Working with low-income, multicultural families
- Knowledge: Basic first aid
- Language: Bilingual in Spanish and/or Hmong desired
