Job Summary
Load and unload parts onto the burn table, adjust settings, and manage the cutting torch while monitoring the cutting process. Follow process sheets, blueprints, or verbal instructions to complete production tasks accurately, inspect cuts for quality, and use grinding tools to achieve desired finishes. Maneuver large or heavy parts manually or with crane assistance, keep machines and work areas clean, and adhere to safety protocols. Inspect finished work to ensure it meets predetermined tolerances and assist in other departments as assigned. Work the 2nd shift Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience using burn table to cut materials 3/4" to 8-1/2" in within a manufacturing environment
- Equivalent technical schooling
- Basic oral communication skills
- Ability to read and understand written instructions in English
- Ability to complete basic logs and reports in English
- Physically able to lift, push, pull, and position heavy components as required
- Ability to work scheduled hours
- Ability to adhere to company timekeeping and all other policies
- Ability to consistently stand for the entire duration of the shift in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Ability to report to work daily
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
