Job Summary
Review every burn admission, outpatient visit, and OR case for evaluation opportunities, abstracting data into the BQIP database to track trends and verify readiness with the American Burn Association. Develop and review action plans for improvements, presenting collected data at departmental and hospital committees. Assist in direct patient care including fluid resuscitation and documentation while serving as a clinical expert and resource to nursing unit staff. Coordinate performance improvement activities, resolve clinical problems, and monitor adherence to protocols and variances. Support regulatory readiness through rounding, coaching, and monitoring, and assist in developing multidisciplinary quality plans. Create spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations as needed to facilitate consistent quality patient care and educational offerings.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Indiana, or the ability to obtain active licensure through application
- 3 years of clinical nursing experience in Critical Care
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- CPR, ACLS, PALS certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Current specialty Board Certification, such as SCRN, CNRN, CCRN or CEN or relevant and approved certification thru ANCC preferred or must earn within 2 years of accepting position
