Job Summary
Manage bunker supply chains for Maersk's 700+ vessel fleet by ensuring required fuel grades are stocked safely and timely to reach the next port. Optimize onboard stock levels to minimize locked capital while reducing top-ups, and coordinate with global stakeholders including Post Fixture Operations, MOT, and TbM to prevent schedule disruptions. Drive bunker saving initiatives through inducement calls, arbitrage, and tank optimization, while educating vessels on the Vessel Bunker program. Ensure the operations desk and hotline are manned per shift plans, maintain safety priority via root cause analysis, and support automation projects to refine processes. Operate within a 24x7 team of ex-Master Mariners and Engineers, applying continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste.
Required Qualifications
- Vessel Officer with Top 4 rank experience
- Candidates with experience in liner operations
- Attention to detail
- Good leadership skills
- Ability to operate in a high-stakes environment requiring rapid decision-making ability
- Excellent communication (English)
