Bundler/Mill General Laborer

Job Summary
Package steel tubes in proper dimensions and quantity, ensuring correct labels and visual inspection for defects. Band and straighten bundles for shipment, verify banding tension, and place proper tags. Notify mill operators immediately of non-conforming quality. Maintain floor cleanliness by removing coolant and scrap, including off-line de-dimpling and de-scarfing. Assist with changeovers, set racks, and prepare bucks and tables for the mill operator. Segregate scrap and bundle it before shift end. Read work instructions, understand set-up charts, and use caliper micrometers. Lift equipment up to 50 pounds, stand on cement surfaces, and wear required safety gear. Work directly with the supervisor on piece counts and job setups.
Required Qualifications
- Be able to stand on cement surfaces for extended amounts of time
- Ability to stand, stoop, crawl, and bend
- Must be able to lift tooling, equipment, and finished products weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather
- Steel-Toed boots are required
- Ability to use caliper micrometers
- Ability to read work instructions, procedures and measuring devices
- Machine Operator/Manufacturing experience necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Mechanical Saw and/or Welding experience a plus
