Job Summary
Lead the safe, compliant operation of maturation, blending, and bulk liquid preparation processes for Bundaberg Rum, ensuring alignment with HSE, quality, and regulatory requirements. Manage execution of maturation plans to deliver correct aged rum volumes and profiles while monitoring liquid movements, sampling, and inventory integrity. Coordinate blending preparation, ingredient additions, and quality checks to ensure products meet specification for bottling and dispatch. Partner with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics teams to optimize tank capacity, asset reliability, and operational performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, loss reduction, and traceability. Lead and mentor the maturation team to foster a strong safety culture and operational rigor.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in maturation, blending, distillation, brewing, fermentation, beverage alcohol, food manufacturing or other process manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of liquid handling, process operations, quality systems and safe manufacturing practices within a regulated production environment
- Demonstrated experience leading operational or shift-based teams, with the ability to deliver production plans while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and compliance
- Experience working cross-functionally with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics and Technical teams to solve operational challenges and improve performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use production, inventory and quality data to drive operational decisions and continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with inventory management, tank or barrel operations, blending processes or digital manufacturing systems such as SAP, MES, SCADA or LIMS is highly regarded
- A proactive leadership style with strong communication, stakeholder management and a passion for developing high-performing teams while protecting the integrity of a premium heritage brand
