Job Summary
Operate material handling equipment independently and within a team to move products and load/unload trucks. Organize and maintain materials in storage or staging areas while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and safety rules. Dispose of cardboard boxes and garbage, and perform other duties as assigned. This 2nd shift role runs Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm. The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and reaching for up to 8 hours in an environment potentially exposed to powders and allergens.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
- Ability to write simple correspondence in English
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must comply with GMP requirements
- Must be able to successfully clear drug screening processes
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Bi-lingual is a plus
- Prior manufacturing or packaging experience preferred
- Proficient computer skills and strong math skills (addition, subtraction, percentages, averages)
- Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including the ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, pull, push, and reach for up to 8 hours
- Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish)
