Job Summary
Weigh trucks in and out of the plant, track weight data from scale to computer, and ensure accurate entry into the system. Load bulk trucks with minimal overloads, identify correct materials, and inspect loads for compliance with Safe Feed Safe Food and quality systems. Greet drivers, answer phones, and assist site leaders while operating equipment like dump trucks and skid steers. Repair chutes and pulleys, maintain housekeeping, and perform daily workplace exams to MSHA standards. Shadow customer service and cross-train on production flows, lab testing, and inventory management.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to accurately load bulk trucks with minimal overloads and reloads
- Ability to identify correct material products
- Ability to safely reset shipping area breakers
- Ability to safely 'unplug' a silo
- Ability to operate equipment- Dump Truck, Skid Steer, 972 Loader, Water Truck, scissor lift and manlift
- Ability to repair chutes and pulleys in the shipping area
- Ability to efficiently operate JWS, Transwide, and BOL interface with ability to add and void tickets
- Ability to safely conduct business in a manner compliant with MSHA safety regulations
- Ability to perform daily work place exams (WPE) including fall protection equipment, loading equipment, and all of shipping work space to MSHA standard
- Ability to take quality samples of loads to ensure customer quality assurance
- Ability to ensure trucks are inspected in compliance of Safe Feed Safe Food (SFSF) and Quality systems
- Ability to greet and direct truck drivers upon exit of the scale house
- Ability to perform general upkeep of the scale house
- Ability to report any operational or safety problems to management
- Ability to understand & shadow Customer Service (CSR) reviewing and posting daily tickets
- Ability to notify office when low inventory of shipping supplies (Paper, Toner, Labels, Forms)
- Ability to consistently input SAP Maintenance Notifications
- Ability to take ownership in shipping area with housekeeping excellence including vegetation clean up
- Ability to consistently achieve high completion of daily task list
