Job Summary
Bulk Chemical Commissioning Engineer responsible for the commissioning, validation and start-up of bulk chemical systems within a highly regulated semiconductor manufacturing environment. Execute commissioning activities for bulk chemical and chemical distribution systems, perform system checks, inspections and functional testing, support pre-commissioning and start-up phases, review commissioning documentation (ITRs, check sheets, procedures), coordinate with construction, engineering and vendor teams, ensure compliance with HSE standards and semiconductor cleanroom protocols, assist in troubleshooting and system optimization during start-up, and support handover and system acceptance processes. This is a mid-senior level, contract opportunity tied to a large-scale semiconductor project and may involve longer-term engagement across multiple project phases. Location: Wilsdruff, Saxony, Germany (IN_PERSON).
Required Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline
- Proven experience in commissioning bulk chemical systems
- Strong background in industrial or process plant commissioning
- Experience with chemical distribution systems, storage, and transfer systems
- Ability to work within structured commissioning procedures and documentation systems
- P&IDs and process diagrams
- Commissioning procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability
- Good communication and coordination skills
