Job Summary
Built-Up Commercial Roofing Technician to install, repair, and maintain built-up roofing systems on commercial and industrial buildings. Operates roofing equipment, kettles, torches, and hand tools; performs tear-offs and roof preparation; applies hot asphalt, roofing felts, insulation, and coatings per manufacturer specs; inspects roofs for leaks and damage; follows OSHA safety standards and company procedures; collaborates with foremen, project managers, and crew members; maintains a clean, organized job site; works outdoors with exposure to heat, cold, and weather conditions; must meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial roofing experience preferred
- Experience with built-up roofing (BUR) systems required
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and safety practices
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Valid drivers license preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus
