Job Summary
Buildings & Grounds Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining facility safety, cleanliness, and infrastructure; perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of interior/exterior structures; manage lighting, HVAC support, plumbing, painting, and general upkeep; coordinate minor construction projects; supervise external contractors to ensure safety and quality; maintain maintenance logs, service schedules, and support preventive maintenance programs; collaborate with management on vendor selection and respond to facility-related requests with a focus on safety and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 3+ years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance or similar role
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
- Forklift Certification or ability to obtain
- Basic understanding of manufacturing facility infrastructure
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals and procedures
- Strong Communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple service schedules
- Reliability with strong attention to detail and follow-through
