Job Summary
Maintain attractive facilities by performing custodial duties, cleaning windows, washing walls, and sanitizing classrooms, offices, and grounds. Conduct ongoing facility maintenance including stripping floors, painting, moving furniture, and providing minor repairs to ensure a safe learning environment. Order and stock supplies, replenish materials, collect waste, and remove snow as needed. Mow lawns, fertilize plants, trim trees, and maintain athletic fields while securing facilities and preparing sites for daily operations. Sustain long periods of physical activity and adapt to changing priorities under the supervision of the Director of Facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Operating a variety of equipment used in industrial maintenance, including electrical cleaning equipment, common or hand tools, etc.
- Adhering to safety practices
- Methods in industrial cleaning
- General maintenance and repair methods
- Safety practices/procedures
- Tools and equipment utilized in grounds maintenance
- Basic tools utilized in building maintenance
- Safety techniques and procedures
- Adapting to changing work priorities
- Communicating with diverse groups
- Meeting deadlines and schedules
- Working as part of a team
- Working with constant interruptions
- Understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions
- Make routine decisions independently
- Sustain long periods of light to moderately heavy physical activity
- Monday - Friday; 2-10 pm
