Job Summary
Building Surveyors play a key role in helping people live safely and independently in their homes. You’ll survey properties, design repair and adaptation solutions, and manage projects from concept to completion. You will produce CAD drawings, progress planning/building control applications, and work closely with customers, contractors, and local authority partners to deliver high-quality work on time and to specification. This is a mobile, hands-on role based in Bristol with travel to clients’ homes and across the region; prior experience with Building Regulations and domestic repairs/adaptations is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Building Surveyor (HNC/HND or equivalent)
- Strong CAD and technical design skills
- Experience with planning and Building Regulations processes
- Knowledge of domestic repairs, adaptations and building defects
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects
- A practical, compassionate approach when working with vulnerable customers
- Access to own vehicle and ability to travel across region
- Enhanced DBS check
- Permanent right to work in the UK
