Building Surveyor (Inspector)

Building Surveyor/Inspector role based in Manukau (Auckland) with hybrid working options. You will conduct building inspections across your coverage area to ensure compliance with building consents, building codes, BCA policies, and other legislative requirements; travel around the region; provide accurate, timely advice to clients (builders, homeowners, architects, developers); maintain robust inspection records; and help customers understand the building code and Council processes. The role requires deep knowledge of the Building Act and Building Code, strong technical and communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to make decisions independently. A National Diploma in Building Control Surveying or equivalent qualification (IANZ accepted) and at least 5 years in a building-related environment are preferred, along with a valid NZ driver’s license.
