Job Summary
Temporary Building Superintendent for Boston-area properties. Responsibilities include liaising with the Property Manager, maintaining daily activity logs, supervising contractors, responding to emergencies, keeping lobbies and common areas clean and presentable, performing janitorial duties, processing daily timecards, operating security camera systems, reporting incidents, reviewing video surveillance, managing snow/ice removal, identifying building work, and responding promptly to tenant service requests. Requires familiarity with plumbing, heating, electrical systems, carpentry, painting; strong cleaning/maintenance knowledge; ability to work independently or in a team; proficient with Outlook and ADP; ability to work outdoors in bad weather; experience supervising staff; ability to multitask under pressure; ability to lift up to 25 pounds; satisfactory background/credit check. Required Qualifications
- Experience supervising staff (cleaning and security)
- Hands-on experience with building repairs and routine cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Familiarity with plumbing, heating, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting for general building upkeep
- Ability to work with minimal supervision (self-motivated and proactive)
- Must have general computer skills (Microsoft Outlook to communicate with the Property Manager through email and ADP to enter daily timecard)
- Capable of following directions, communicating effectively verbally and in writing
- Satisfactory background and credit check history
