Job Summary
Live-in Building Superintendent in Waterloo, Ontario responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and presentable building; responding to tenant questions and emergencies; assisting with renting PM units; performing seasonal maintenance (snow removal, gardening); inspecting and maintaining mechanical systems (boilers, HVAC, pumps); carrying out basic plumbing/electrical work; completing unit turn repairs; coordinating with contractors; keeping detailed maintenance records; ensuring safety and building standards compliance; on-call after hours. Requires on-site accommodation, and availability for after-hours and emergency response.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years superintendent experience
- Minimum 3 years maintenance experience
- Familiarity with RTA
- Ability to perform basic plumbing and electrical work
- Organizational and time management skills
- Physically capable of performing required maintenance duties
- On-site accommodation availability
- Availability for after-hours and emergency response
