Job Summary
Building Superintendent role overseeing operations and maintenance of apartment facilities; responsibilities include tenant move-ins/outs, responding to service requests, routine and emergency repairs, overseeing external contractors, monitoring HVAC, boilers, pumps, generators, and fire safety systems; conducting inspections of suites, common areas, and grounds; ensuring cleanliness, safety, and compliance; handling snow/ice removal, waste management, and cleaning services; maintaining maintenance inventories; utilizing Yardi for work orders and records; after-hours on-call duties; may be filled as live-in or live-out; requires high school diploma and 3–5 years in building operations, with experience across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and HVAC; valid driver’s license and police check; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education or certification in a skilled trade is an asset
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a maintenance, building operations, or superintendent role
- Experience performing general building maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and HVAC systems
- Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Must provide own tools and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Valid Police Record Check issued within the last six months
