Building Substitute Teacher

Carry out a program of study from lesson plans left by the classroom teacher while maintaining a neat, orderly environment conducive to learning. Guide student learning toward curriculum goals and objectives, taking attendance per school procedures and establishing basic behavioral expectations. Create an appropriate classroom atmosphere for students of varying maturity levels and interests. Perform duties usually required of absent teachers, including bus duty, hall monitoring, or other assignments from the building principal. Know emergency evacuation routes and procedures for referring disciplinary problems.
