Building Substitute Teacher

Provide classroom coverage for an absent teacher, delivering instruction per lesson plans and maintaining a safe, orderly environment. Create a conducive learning environment, uphold classroom routines, communicate with parents as needed, and stay on-site for the school day. Demonstrates professional appearance and collaborates with administrators and staff to meet curricular goals; handles basic mathematical concepts and interprets instructional materials. This per diem/contract role requires the ability to read, analyze, and respond to questions from students, families, and school personnel, and to adapt to a range of classroom needs while maintaining student discipline and safety.
