Job Summary
Deliver and adapt lesson plans for K-8 curriculum and modify instruction as needed throughout the school year; differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs; maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development; apply research-based planning and daily instruction practices; manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment; utilize school-approved curricula reflecting diverse backgrounds; implement school-wide culture and norms; communicate with families regarding student academic and social-emotional growth; integrate technology into daily classroom practice; participate in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities; collaborate with colleagues and support continuous improvement through observations and feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Experience working within an urban environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to supervise students of various ages in different school settings
