Building Substitute Teacher

Job Summary
Provides coverage for regular teacher’s class plans when the teacher is absent for a full school year (177 days). Reports to the Assistant Principal and may prepare lesson plans with administrator guidance when none are available. Duties include instructing classes as assigned, maintaining student records and grading, providing individualized/small group instruction, assisting colleagues and administrative staff, and supporting students who need extra help on days with no teacher. Requires collaboration with staff, strong organization, and ability to work with diverse students; Bachelor’s degree and Substitute License or higher are required.

- Substitute License or higher
- Education degree or equivalent for substitute teaching in state
- Ability to instruct classes when regular teacher absent
- Ability to maintain records and assist with grading
- FLSA Non-Exempt
