Job Summary
Structural Engineer role embedded at Pratt & Whitney Canada client site, acting as the structural project lead on site and designing/validating structural solutions for an existing industrial environment. Responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams (mechanical, electrical, process, etc.), working closely with the client and general contractor, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards, managing multiple assignments under tight deadlines, reviewing plans/specifications/shop drawings, and providing technical support during construction. Requires a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and OIQ membership; industrial-experience is an asset. The position supports a collaborative, client-integrated environment with a hybrid policy and a 37.5-hour workweek, and emphasizes strong organizational and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant structural experience
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Experience in an industrial environment (a strong asset)
- Ability to take on technical leadership for projects
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, client-integrated environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high volume of projects
- Excellent communication skills
