Job Summary

Building Structural Engineer focused on in-depth structural design and technical challenges across steel, wood, and concrete within a BIM (Revit) environment. Responsibilities include sizing and analyzing building structures, performing advanced analyses with ETABS, SAP2000, and SAFE, developing efficient structural concepts that meet Canadian standards, coordinating with internal/external stakeholders, validating models and load cases, participating in design phases, aiding junior engineers and drafters, and ensuring technical quality of deliverables while collaborating with the BIM team for structural integration in Revit. Proficiency in CCQ, CSA standards, and fluent French are required; hybrid work policy and a 37.5-hour workweek are offered. Mix of office collaboration and flexible scheduling with a focus on high-performance structures and innovative design.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering with a structural focus
  • Member in good standing of the OIQ
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in structural design of buildings in Canada
  • Excellent technical expertise in steel, concrete, and wood
  • Strong experience in numerical structural analysis
  • Excellent command of French
  • Assets: experience designing institutional, commercial, industrial, or complex residential projects
  • Assets: experience in BIM environment
