Job Summary
Produce and coordinate BIM models and drawings for RIBA Stages 2-4 MEP design, managing workflows from setup through final issue with asset data. Review models for clash detection, generate reports to aid coordination, and input COBie, IFC, and Uniclass data per project execution plans. Contribute to automation developments by submitting ideas for Revit and BIM process improvements. Work independently using Cundall templates and standards while collaborating with engineers, technicians, and BIM leads.
Required Qualifications
- Background in Building Services
- Experience with Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health Disciplines
- Education to HNC Level or higher within the subject
- Strong practical experience of BIM and using Revit in a similar role within the industry
- Experience working at Consultancies and/or Specialist MEP Contractors
- Understanding of how to utilise Autodesk Construction Cloud alongside Revit for model management and clash detection
- Knowledge of how to use Navisworks for Clash Detection for MEP Services
- Ability to work to Cundall Standards and Templates
- Ability to produce models and drawings independently and from mark-ups as and when required
- Ability to produce MEP Services Models & Drawings that are coordinated and fit within the constraints of the building layout
- Adept at planning and organising your workload alongside the BIM Manager
- Ability to communicate effectively with Engineers, Technicians and BIM Leads
- Proven experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Ideally educated to HNC Level or higher within the subject
- Understanding of how to utilise Autodesk Construction Cloud alongside Revit for model management and clash detection
- Knowledge of how to use Navisworks for Clash Detection for MEP Services
- Understanding of the RIBA plan of works, BSRIA BG6 and the various stages included as part of it
- Understanding of the Level of Detail needed for each stage
- Brief understanding of the concepts of ISO 19650
- Experience contributing to Automation Developments for Revit & BIM
- Passion for creative, sustainable and intuitive design
