Job Summary
GIA is seeking a Building Services Technician I to maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of facilities in New York and New Jersey, perform shipping & receiving duties, manage daily operational supplies, coordinate with hazardous waste vendors, escort vendors on site, assist with security-related tasks, and set up conference rooms for events. The role requires reliability, effective verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to work with coworkers under pressure; prior custodian experience and MS Office proficiency are valuable, with a focus on safety and quality in a busy, onsite environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination
- Driver’s License required
- Basic understanding of computers including MS Office
- Customer service and organizational skills required
