Building Services Technician – HVAC/Mechanical Specialist - Metro Atlanta/GPC HQ (Pre-Hire Assessment Required)

Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, and mechanical equipment across multiple GPC facilities in the Metro Atlanta area. Diagnose and resolve issues on automatic gates, ice machines, and building automation systems while conducting routine plumbing and minor electrical work. Maintain accurate service records, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes. This role requires valid driver's license, verifiable driving experience, and consent to motor vehicle record monitoring, with a testing requirement prior to interview selection.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in HVAC and mechanical maintenance
- Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
- Technical diploma or certification in HVAC, mechanical systems, or building maintenance
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to travel regularly between GPC facilities within assigned region
- At least one year of verifiable driving experience
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the class vehicle to be operated
- No revocation of driving privileges within the 36 months prior to application
- No convictions of major traffic violations (DUI, hit and run, reckless driving, etc.) within the 12 months prior to application
- No pending charges for a major traffic violation at the time of application
- Must consent to a continuous monitoring of your Motor Vehicle Record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple facilities or regional operations
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- Relevant trade licenses
- Experience servicing automatic gates, refrigeration/ice machines, and general building equipment
- Strong understanding of building automation systems and mechanical controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
