Job Summary
Building Services Engineer responsible for making campus buildings meet staff and student needs by implementing and maintaining mechanical (HVAC and others), electrical, plumbing, and fire and security alarm systems; manage campus Building Automation System (BAS) and utility services; coordinate special events and assist in Operations and Capital Projects; reports to the Director of Operations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or relevant trade certification, project management experience, ability to read blueprints/schematics, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and proficiency with Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet search, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant trade certification
- Construction and/or Maintenance project management experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical skills
- Working knowledge of critical computer software (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet Search Engines, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)
