Job Summary
Patrol areas at regular intervals, answer alarms and investigate disturbances, and monitor building systems to ensure secure operations of Delta Center during events. Write reports of daily activities, assist with VIP parking and crowd flow, and enforce safety rules while screening guests and employees. Handle emergency situations including medical aid and evacuations, and answer telephone calls during non-business hours. Drive a company vehicle to practice facilities as needed. Work swing shifts from 4pm to Midnight.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid Utah driver's license
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must be comfortable searching bags and a person's body respectfully and efficiently
- Must be able to take objections and respond with a guest service approach first
- Must be able to follow verbal and written direction
- Valid Driver's License Preferred
- Able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends and holidays)
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other employees
- Maintain a professional appearance as set by Delta Center management
- Frequent climbing of stairs, moving of barriers and boxes of handout materials up to 25 pounds
- Must stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, handle, grasp, or reach
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus with or without reasonable accommodation
- Majority of duties are performed in-house under controlled temperatures; some positions are in inclement areas or outside on Delta Center property
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time
- This person must be able to lift 25 lbs
