Job Summary
Patrol building areas at regular intervals to ensure properties remain secure and safe. Monitor and adjust building systems like air conditioning and boilers, while answering alarms and investigating disturbances. Write daily reports detailing activities, irregularities, equipment damage, or unauthorized persons. Assist with VIP parking, crowd flow, and emergency situations including medical aid or evacuations. Enforce arena safety policies and answer telephone messages during non-business hours. Drive a company vehicle to practice facilities when required. Complete required training and maintain a professional appearance while respecting guest and employee property.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid Utah driver's license
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must be comfortable searching bags and a person's body respectfully and efficiently
- Must be able to take objections and respond with a guest service approach first
- Must be able to follow verbal and written direction
- Able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends and holidays)
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other employees
- Maintain a professional appearance as set by Delta Center management
- Frequent climbing of stairs, moving of barriers and boxes of handout materials up to 25 pounds
- Must stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, handle, grasp, or reach
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus with or without reasonable accommodation
- Majority of duties are performed in-house under controlled temperatures; some positions are in inclement areas or outside on Delta Center property
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time
- This person must be able to lift 25 lbs
