Job Summary
Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to deter and detect potential security threats while monitoring surveillance systems and alarms for suspicious activities. Screen employees, visitors, vehicles, and equipment entering the venue, authorize access through visitor management programs, and conduct regular inspections to identify security vulnerabilities. Respond promptly to incidents including disturbances, accidents, and medical emergencies, writing detailed reports in the 247-management system and collaborating with law enforcement as needed. Enforce company policies to maintain a safe environment, assist with Spanish-English translation if able, and work flexible shifts covering weeknights, weekends, and holidays for high-profile events.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and current California Guard Card
- Experience in a similar security-focused role
- Understanding of security procedures
- Guest relations skills
- Professional demeanor
- Excellent customer service skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to communicate via a two-way radio in English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with security communication devices
- Familiarity with Closed Circuit Television Systems
- Familiarity with other security devices
- Ability to analyze problems
- Ability to identify causes
- Ability to implement results-oriented solutions
- Availability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality
- Ability and interpersonal skills to effectively assist guests, clients and employees
- Basic familiarity with email
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, or remain in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead and horizontally
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs
- Ability to work safely at various heights, including top of stairways
- Ability to work in confined or enclosed spaces, including elevators
- Ability to move throughout the venue quickly and safely during events
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and supervisors
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels, crowds, and vibration
- Ability to work in crowded environments with frequent interaction with guests and team members
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
