Job Summary
Lead building envelope restoration projects, reserve fund studies, and building condition assessments from initial investigation to completion. Responsibilities include preparing detailed reports, developing cost estimates, overseeing construction reviews, and coordinating with clients and contractors. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in building science, project management, and technical communication, with a Professional Engineer registration in Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a post-secondary program in applied science or engineering from an accredited University
- Registered as a Professional Engineer within the Province of Ontario
- Minimum 6-10 years previous experience in building science
- Experience with fenestrations and glazing, concrete and masonry restoration, roofing, waterproofing, cladding
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in consulting or contracting firm
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Technical writing proficiency
- Ability to manage a design team on multiple projects
- Computer literate with skills in Word and Excel
